The Way to Combat: The Word Way

In a training I attended sometime last year, a tutor said to us in passing that: “Jesus defeated the devil with, ‘It is written’. 

Then Jesus was led out into the wilderness by the Holy Spirit to be tempted there by the Devil. For forty days and forty nights he ate nothing and became very hungry. Then the Devil came and said to him...Mat 4: 1-3a

...But Jesus told him, “No! The Scriptures say...Mat4:4a

In my further study and meditation, I realised that Jesus had a deep understanding, indwelling richness and true interpretation of the word. Hence he was able to combat the devil ‘Word’ for word.  It was the written WORD against the devil’s witty words.  He threw the Word back at him and the devil couldn’t withstand it.

Afterwards the devil left Jesus alone.

The bible says:

Then the devil went away, and angels came and cared for Jesus – Matthew4:11

The word is the sword of the spirit with which to fight life’s battles that come our way- which is mostly instigated by the devil.

Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Ephesians 6:17

The Word is full of life and power. IT is full of power that lives. It is more like the sharpest sword: it cuts and it exposes.

For the word of God is full of living power. It is sharper than the sharpest knife, cutting deep into our innermost thoughts and desires. It exposes us for what we really are. -Hebrews 4:12

It has been since the beginning. It existed way before anything and everything.

In the beginning the Word already existed.  He was with God, and he was God. –John 1:1&2

And in it was everything made. Everything....

He created everything there is. Nothing exists that he didn’t make. -John 1:3

So, everything including the devil subjects to the word as you’ve just seen above in Mat 1:1-11.

There are many ways to combat but there is one sure way of victory -The way of the Word.  This is the ultimate way.  I have known no other way. I acknowledge no other way.

Babes, in your life, regarding your marriage, home, finances, work- whatever God says is yours claim it in Jesus name and then wear the devil out. Chase him out.

Yes! You can exercise your God given authority on everything that is of the devil that steals your joy. But first you have to discover and grasp every bit of that authority. You have to study the Word to know the Word. You have to know the Word to know your rights and how much authority you have in Christ Jesus.  You have to use the Word in battle in other to be free, to experience victory, and to tell the devil to go.

There is nothing to fear. Only one person should fear- and that is the devil himself.  Only one person should flee- that is the devil.

Yours is to wield your sword- the sword of the spirit which is the Word.

Babes in 2012, do a voracious intake of the Word because:

When you have the word you have all it takes.

When you have the word you have all you need.

The Word says:

But if you stay joined to me and my words remain in you, you may ask any request you like, and it will be granted! John 15:7

The Word is IT.
