Even though the fig trees have no blossoms, and there are no grapes on the vine, even though the olive crop fails, and the fields lie empty and barren, even though the flocks die in the fields, and even the cattle barns are empty, yet I will rejoice in the LORD! Habakkuk 3: 17
“Sing, O childless woman! Break forth into loud and joyful song, O Jerusalem, even though you never gave birth to a child. For the woman who could bear no children now has more than all the other women,” says the Lord. Isaiah 54:1
Rejoice
Anyway, and Anyhow.
Joy
is the key to fruitfulness. There is no how worry or sorrow would bring about
productivity. They would only ‘take from’ or reduce and will never bring about
an addition.
Stop
being bitter- No matter what makes you so. No matter what.
Prolonged
bitterness and regrets are not of God. You are to identify your mistakes and
other people’s and move on.
Joy
is the key to fruitfulness and productivity.
Even
if you have not birthed before, remember Sarah and when she laughed.
God
is a God of restoration. He restores in a way that seems you were never in
need. The memory of your past sorrow and
lack will be erased, and not just in your minds but also in the minds of those
around you. Also, wounds will be healed and scars will be erased.
It’s
a choice. Decide today to replace sorrow
with laughter, complaints with gratitude, and (seeing) lack with appreciation
of whatever’s available to you at the moment. There must be something to
rejoice about and to be grateful for. Look again. Look without and within.
If
you’ve heard Him, then you’ve received. Since he’s spoken, the deed is done. This
is because, his WORD is as good as the deed.
Have
faith in God and begin to laugh now because you know God has done it. Don’t
wait to laugh when you feel it in
your hands. Rejoice now if he’s dropped it in your heart. Remember, Isaac finally manifested when Sarah
laughed.
Rejoice
at the word. Rejoice at all the promises
he’s given you. His word never goes back
to his mouth empty- don’t let it fall and become inactive in your life only
because you are unreceptive. Be like Mary
who responds to God’s promise for her (even at a difficult time in her life
when she doesn’t seem to understand what is happening) and says “I am the
Lord’s servant and I am willing to accept whatever he wants. May everything you
have said come true.”
Joy
is expressed in the following ways: Sing, shout and dance.
Sing
praises to your maker and redeemer- it makes the devil mad. You’re doing
exactly the opposite of what you are expected to do. As children of God, must we always react to situations
with a heart and disposition of sorrow? We are children of faith and everything
will always work together for our good. But
we have to believe and continue to have faith in God.
Shout
sometimes. Shout for joy! Shout to drive out the fear. Shout to shake off the
worry. Shout and jump to declare only the good thoughts of the Lord for you
into your life. It would make the demons
bored and confused. It would make people
around you wonder and think different of
your so called case. Them go think
say you dey craze- before nko? Is the life of faith a normal way of life to
the world?
Dance!
Break into a dance. Dance in your spirit- this you can do anytime and anywhere.
Let this expression of joy come out and
manifest in the physical, sometimes. And
do dance indeed, your entire being is bound to respond.
We
are not rejoicing, trying hard to change things by what we do, we have decided
to be joyful, appreciating him and being grateful for what he’s already done. This is our correct disposition, our way of
life. A life of gratitude, an attitude
of praise and a spirit of joy.
Selah.
