HAPPY NEW YEAR!
I hope it’s not too late to say this, because it
is my first time here this year.
And I am also glad that everything is back to
normal again and I hope that the events of the last few weeks will cause a
positive change in our nation. I believe that God has helped us drive out every
unscrupulous element (human, spirit, policy) that is against our peace, unity
and development in Nigeria.
I like us to know that:
The New Year brings nothing new by itself. The
months and days bring nothing extra ordinary.
The calendar is new but the question is: are you a different person than
you were on January 1st 2011? Do you have clear goals and practical
plans that will lead you to achieve these goals in 2012? Are you willing to make
sacrifices required?
The bitter truth is that, if you are not
different from who you were or don’t do anything different or extra than what
you did the year before, you might get the same results you got last year and
be at the same place you were on 31st Dec 2011- that is not our
portion IJN-.
It is good to hope for better, but it is unsafe to
just hope in the new calendar. It is
just a calendar, even though it’s new. Some
of us sit and just wish things would be better than before. We keep daydreaming, seeing us gallivanting with
all our trophies on the 31st of Dec 2012 and yet we have no concrete
plan or necessary spiritual guide. While some of us are not optimistic at all, haven
caved in and settled for less due to past failure and unborn expectations.
Hope is good, but now, let’s move from ‘hope’ to
‘faith’. Faith is more definite. Faith is assured, active, and productive. We need to be bold, strong and say no to the
mediocrity and unhappiness that we experienced in recent years past.
Age has nothing to do with it.
Faith and courage has a lot to do with it.
Give no room to fear this year. Treat fear like it is a sin to fear. Well, it is a sin to be fearful.
The New Year can work in your favour. It is totally subject to you having better illumination-
knowledge and light- about you and what the year is about for you.
Above all, the more you have a better
understanding of God’s will regarding you and the year, the closer you are to
self fulfilment and prosperity.
Also, you can make the year a prosperous one.
You can carve your year into whatever form you want it. You can ‘create’ with the basic creative element
that has been since the beginning of time. All of creation responds to it as long as it
is voice actuated and it has an abode.
It has never failed and it will never fail you.
It is alive and it works. It is the WORD. It is that which proceeds out of the mouth of
God; His thoughts for you. This is not religion but the truth.
With all said, I want you to hold this thought:
That God wants HIS best for you and not just the
best. He is more than willing to give to you. He does not withhold except you
hold him back.
He wants good things to happen to and for you. And whatever seems unpleasant that occurs will
only end up working for your good. It
cannot destroy you but will only empower you for greater works.
We will dwell more on ‘the WORD’ in the next few
days.
We just have to get it right this year.
